Description
The Human Touch
Follow along with Raymond as he reveals his tried-and-true color and finishing techniques, which have made his woodcarvings the favorite of millions of people at Disney theme parks worldwide.
Raymond’s systematic, patient teaching style will guide you into a whole new world of working with color. He takes the mystery out of color theory, application methods, staining and sealing. You will be amazed at what comes out of your hands!
This is the Real Deal
This is NOT a 10-minute YouTube video. It’s nearly 3 HOURS of step-by-step detailed instruction. This is a deep dive, all the way in.
This online instructional video comes with an “All is Well” 3D CNC model included. Perfect for CNC woodcarvers.
These techniques are not only for CNC carvers. Traditional woodcarvers can use these techniques as well.
The original “All is Well” carving, pictured here, was hand carved, then 3D laser scanned to produce an .STL model for reproduction on CNC carving machines.
If you choose to carve this CNC model (or have others carve it for you), you will be able to work right along with Raymond.
These techniques are not only for CNC carvers. Traditional woodcarvers can use these techniques as well.
However, the All is Well CNC carving is completely optional.
If you choose to carve the All is Well sign, your end result will be a masterful piece of art.

Absolutely fantastic. I’ve been wanting to learn how to up my game on finishing and hand paint carvings. This takes a lot of the guesswork out the learning process. Invest in yourself and buy it right now. You’ll be glad you did.

5 stars all the way! This is an excellent video to take my wood carving to the next level! I have carved with the first video, been to a live class and now this video! I am very pleased with how this turned out and the amount of information given. I will be able to go back and reference this video as I continue to carve and then add color to my creations! Thank you Raymond for this excellent video!

It’s not often one has a chance to
learn from a true master, This is such an opportunity to capture years of experience from one of the best wood carver / artists of our time. Terrific video! Raymond does a great job slowly covering techniques in detail and sharing thoughts on various products and processes that are so helpful. I’m currently working on a detailed carving and I was able to incorporate a number of useful techniques just today after watching. I will go back to the video many times in the future. Well worth the investment as you can skip the trail and error and learn from the best.

This video from Ray is just what I needed to take my carvings to the next level. My paint has been one dimensional and I look at Ray’s pieces and wondered over and over, “how does he do that?” Now I know. Looking forward to using these techniques on the piece sitting on my bench. Thanks Ray!

High quality and superb video with great value for what you learn. Ray shares 50+ years worth of detailed experience he learned through hard work, trial and error. The fine details are what makes Ray’s creations stand out. He shares those details in this video. I plan to use what I learned on many projects. I’ve taken classes with great artists, woodworkers and carvers who created awesome work, but didn’t teach well. That is not the case here. Ray is great. The video format is also very helpful because it can be referenced over and over as opposed to attending a class in person. Although I’d love to attend one of his classes. This is the next best thing.
